Lauren ran XC her junior and senior years, being named the Coastal Rivers Conference (CRC) Runner of the Year for 2019 and All Conference in 2018. She finished 14th in the NCISAA 3A State Meet in 2018 and 17th in 2019. She is the school record holder at Coastal for Girls XC with a time of 19:55. She received the team’s Toughness Award her Junior Year. After high school she plans to major in Veterinary Medicine.
Grace ran XC sophomore through senior years, earning All Conference accolades all three years. She received the team’s Coaches Award her sophomore year. She is currently third on the school record board. She plans to major in nursing after high school.
She ran XC for three years, including her sophomore through senior years. She received the Most Improved Award in 2018. She says she “loves being part of a team that feels like family.” She was recently accepted to Liberty University and she plans to study to be a dental hygienist.
Madison ran XC for three years in high school and received the Most Improved Award her Freshman year. She was named CRC All Conference in 2019. She says, “her favorite memory is just being with all of my teammates during practice and races, and especially on the overnight trips!” She plans to attend N.C. State University in the fall.
Bella ran XC for all four years at Coastal. She received the Coaches’ Award her Freshman year and made the CRC all conference team her Junior year. She is currently a Centurions school record holder on the Top 10 Cross Country list. After high school, she hopes to attend UNC Chapel Hill or the University of South Carolina.
Jilian transferred to Coastal for her Senior year so this was her first year running cross country and she put forth a lot of effort. She plans to attend Cape Fear Community College in the Fall. Her favorite memory was “simply building strong friendships.”
Jack ran XC for three years, including his sophomore through senior years. He was named CRC All Conference all three years as well. The 2019 Jungle Run was his favorite memory saying “perfect weather, amazing energy and getting to experience the race with all of my teammates one last time” made it great and resulted in a PR for Jack. After high school he wants to major in Marine Biology or Computer Science at College of Charleston, Eckerd College, or Point Loma Nazerene University.
Nick ran Cross Country for three years since transferring to Coastal. He received the team’s MVP Award his sophomore year, the Toughness Award his Junior year and CRC All Conference all three years as well. He was named to the NCISAA All State Team in 2017 and 2018, and is currently 3rd on the school record board Top 10 with a time of 16:35. One memory that stands out is losing his shoe in the mud during the 2018 State Meet where it was freezing, pouring rain and muddy! He plans to pursue a career in Engineering.
