The Club's new project is adoption of a 2 mile stretch of road in Wrightsville Beach. The NCDOT has tasked us with periodically cleaning up our section which starts from Wings on Waynick Blvd and continues south to the Coast Guard Station on S. Lumina Ave.
Our first trash pick up will be March 26 at 9:30 am. We'll car pool to the site from Fleet Feet following the Run Cancer into the Ground Pancake fest, and drop people off to cover about a mile each. With 8 volunteers cleaning both sides of the road it should only take 30 minutes.
Gloves, safety vests and trash bags will be provided. We anticipate very light litter at this time of year so don't be disappointed.
