Each month, usually in the first week of the month, the WRRC Board or Directors meets in an open meeting to review the business of the club in detail, with reports and discussion on upcoming events, open programs, membership status, and other matters being handled by officers or committees.

All active members are invited to attend the open Board meetings to learn about the workings of the club, contribute fresh ideas, add constructive feedback, or otherwise jump into the active agenda for our club.

You volunteerism is both encouraged and appreciated.

    Remember, this is YOUR club.

P.S. If you would like to attend please RSVP for a given meeting by registering for the meeting and you will receive any automated emails on the location of the meeting once it has been determined.

The WRRC Survival Run is a FREE adventure trail event open to all current club members.

January 25, 2020. Meet at 7.45am for an 8:00am start at Carolina Beach State Park, visitor's center.

You will be rewarded at the finish with a catered A&G hot breakfast. Because of our great relationship with Carolina Beach State Park, they invite us to dine inside the warm confides of their visitor center....right next to the stuffed opossums. There are usually two courses: short ( 5 ish) and long (10 ish). Distances vary from year to year depending on course conditions. This year there will also be a "On-the-road" contingent for those who are tentative about running on trails.

    Things to know:

Course will only be roughly marked. Follow other runners at your risk, they may be lost too!

Run with a buddy. It is always more fun to be lost in the woods with a friend.

Don't get lost for too long.

Course may be rugged (it's not Bad Water or the Barkley Marathons, so no worries).

Sign up early. We are limited on the number of runners allowed in the park.

The Survival Run has been a club tradition for a long time. We have not permanently lost a runner...YET All come out of the woods......eventually.

Come get lost with your running tribe in beautiful Carolina Beach State Park!

More details to follow from Event Director, Greg Zinner.

You must be a valid WRRC member to participate in this FREE event, so join or renew now and join the fun!

WAIVER: By registering online, you agree to the terms of the club's Standard Event Waiver and agree to release and hold harmless the WRRC, its members,  directors and officers, Carolina Beach State Park, and its affiliated parties, from any and all claims or damages suffered by participating in this event.
